July Events for Pooler Georgia 2014
Pooler may be a suburb of Savannah but we have a lot of fun things happening this summer. Here’s what’s happening for the last half of July in the Pooler area.
Need to cool off? Check out the Royal Cinemas and Imax at 5 Towne Center Ct in Pooler Georgia. This modern theater is the only locally owned and operated theater in the area. The Royal Grille offers a dinner theater with restaurant style seating, food and drink. In addition to this unique movie-going experience you can also see IMAX with two additional screens, the largest theater on the coast of Georgia. Of course, these are all air-conditioned theaters. When it gets too hot outside, come and relax inside.
Cool off on the River. Rent a canoe or kayak with the Ogeechee River rentals at 318 Dublin Rd. Make sure you call for reservations and these rentals are open March through October daily with two new rentals, raft and kayak rentals and even tube rentals. There’s also a campground, shuttle service, guide service and instructions. Fishing and swimming is available with small or large groups. Grab your gear and head down the river to really cool off in style.
Get some history at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. Located at 175 Bourne Ave. this unique museum is one of the world’s most powerful experiences. Located just minutes from historic downtown Savannah, this 90,000 ft.² museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the “Mighty” Eighth Air Force. See the ongoing restoration of the World War II B-17 flying Fortress “city of Savannah” inside the museum’s combat gallery plus hundreds of other unique artifacts, stories and historical monuments.
Fun Zone Amusement and Sports Park. This is another great way to cool off in the hot summer sun at 1040 US Highway 90 E. in Pooler. Buy an armband and stay a few hours riding go carts around the track, taking in a round of mini-golf, playing in kiddy land or spending hours conquering all the amazing arcade games. With fun, food and entertainment, this will take up a few hours of summer fun! There are plenty of things to do and see in the Pooler area whether you want to stay in-town or venture out to Savannah and the Georgia coastline. If you’d like to look at real estate or considering buying or selling in this area please give me a call anytime.
