Tour Savannah by Trolley

Savannah is a lovely city that welcomes visitors like few others in America! The history here is rich and paints an amazing picture of America past, present and future. Whether you want to stroll in an outdoor market, visit a museum or spend a few reflective minutes in a historic cathedral, you can spend a few hours or a few days making the most of Savannah’s rich history.
The sightseeing trolley tour is a “Hop On and Hop Off” experience that escorts you through the historic downtown historic areas. The 35-passenger open-air trolley runs from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, seven days a week (except for March 16 & 17, when the trolley service will be out of service).
Why take the trolley? Well, there are so many things to see and do in Savannah that you will need a great ride to see it all! As a trolley ticket holder, you will have unlimited on and off privileges and with 15 stops you will be able to move from one lovely experience to the next.
Not only are the folks on the trolley knowledgeable about Savannah, they have carefully designed their tours to describe the charm and rich history of this lovely city. As you experience downtown, you will see the sights of the 270-year-old town square, you will be able to stroll down River Street or explore the City Market and board the trolley again to see more.
The Visitor’s Center is a great place to start your tour. You will see the Savannah Theatre, Sorrel Weed House, Forsyth Park, the Cathedral of Saint John, the Pirate’s House, the Washington Square, the Owens Thomas House, the Juliette Gordon Low Home, Reynolds Square, River Street Marketplace, City Hall and Franklin Square. The trolleys run about 20-25 minutes between stops, so you will have plenty of opportunities to look around and make the most of your day.
Sound wonderful? It is. You can take advantage of free pick up at any of the downtown Savannah hotels. You can order tickets online and receive a discount, or simply call their toll free number at 888-653-6045. Adult rates are $29.95, Children 5-11 can ride for $10.95. Children 4 and under are free when riding in an adult’s lap.
