If you’re looking for the ultimate in Mother’s Day activities you can’t miss the Mother’s Day Savannah Riverboat Cruise. Enjoy two distinct events: a Mother’s Day Brunch with prices around $44 and $24 for children, boarding at 12 PM, returning at 2:30 PM, and a Mother’s Day Dinner, prices starting at $54 and children’s tickets at $30, boarding at 6 PM, sailing from 7 to 9 PM. Enjoy tasty treats, delicious buffets, dancing and cruising along the Savannah River. There will be plenty of traditional and exotic fare such as Southern fried chicken, honey glazed spiral ham, Savannah shrimp and grits, waffles and Eggs-Benedict, cinnamon rolls and fruit, peach cobbler and crispy bacon.
If you’re looking to start Mother’s Day week a little early you can’t miss the River Street Seafood Festival happening May 2 and May 3 down at the Rousakis Riverfront Plaza. This is free and open to the public. May 2 the times are from 4 PM to 10 PM and May 3 the event starts at 10 AM till 10 PM. Throw on some flip-flops and bring your Jimmy Buffett best for an entire weekend of family fun, live music and the area’s freshest seafood.
Perhaps a leisurely stroll through the Savannah Botanical Gardens is the relaxing weekend that mom desires. On May 3 is the Rose Festival And Arts Craft Fair from 10 AM to 3 PM which will feature food, arts and crafts, plant sale and gardens. If you’re looking for something for Mother’s Day weekend, a simple stroll through these beautiful botanical gardens will certainly put mom at ease.
